SMS Terms & Program Info

This page describes BayQuote's text messaging program: the "BayQuote Quote Notifications" program, used by landscaping and hardscaping contractors to send price quotes to their own customers by text message.
1. What this program sends
When a contractor using BayQuote finishes preparing a price quote, they can choose to deliver it to their customer by text message (instead of, or in addition to, email). Each message includes the contractor's business name, a link to view and accept the quote, and opt-out instructions. This program does not send marketing, promotional, or any other type of message — only the quote notification the customer agreed to receive.
2. How consent is collected
Consent is collected verbally: when a contractor meets with a customer to prepare a quote, they ask whether the customer would like to receive it by text. If the customer agrees, the contractor enters the customer's phone number into BayQuote and selects text as the delivery method for that quote.
Before the message can be sent, the contractor must separately check a box in the BayQuote app confirming that the customer agreed to receive it by text — this box is unchecked by default and is required for every text send. No text is ever sent to a phone number without this explicit confirmation.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on how many quotes a contractor sends a given customer by text — typically one message per quote.
4. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient's mobile carrier and plan.
5. Opt-out and help
Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving text messages from BayQuote. Reply HELP for help, or contact brad@bayquote.com.
6. Privacy
Phone numbers are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. See our full Privacy Policy for details on how phone numbers and other information are handled, and our Terms of Service for the terms governing use of BayQuote.
